Consumer Price Index excluding food and energy, a less volatile gauge for prices, rose 0.1 percent from 0.2 percent missing steady forecasts.CPI for the year ended February was held at 2.9 percent as expected, while annual Core CPI eased to 2.2 percent from 2.3 percent as estimated.
