The U.S Department of Labor said today that cost of living in the United States climbed 0.2 percent last month, comapred to the flat estimate the month ago, missing the consensus of 0.3 percent according to analysts' median projections.

Core CPI, which excludes more volatile costs such as energy and foods, rose 0.2 percent last month, meeting expectations, after rising only 0.1 percent in December.
