RTTNews - The International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) stated that India's cotton exports are likely to revive in fiscal 2010, with exports of the fibre touching 1.4 million tonnes to be exported, reports PTI. The exports of the second largest cotton-producer in the world plunged last year as the Indian prices were found uncompetitive during the global economic slowdown.

Exports of cotton fibre for 2008-09 are estimated at below one million tonnes. ICAC sees cotton demand reviving due to world economic growth.
