‘Counting On’ Canceled Or Renewed? Duggar Family Friends Speak Out

“Counting On” fans have been waiting for months to find out if the Duggar family will return with new episodes of the TLC docuseries. While the network has yet to offer the official word, friends of the Arkansas brood are giving viewers an update.

Over the weekend, the Duggar Family Blog, which is run by two friends of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s family, revealed they’re still waiting to hear from TLC if the show will come back.

“‘Counting On’ has been off the air for six weeks now, and we know you all are eager to hear whether the Duggars will be returning for a new season,” wrote the blog. “We have been in contact with TLC, but at this time, there are no announcements to share. As soon as there is news to give, we will post it here.”

While it appears viewers will have to wait longer to find out the true fate of “Counting On,” Jinger Vuolo’s mother-in-law recently dropped a hint the show could be coming back.

Jeremy Vuolo’s mother, Diana Vuolo, posted a telling video to Facebook last month stating that her son and Jinger would be attending an upcoming event for her organization which would be filmed. The video has since been deleted off of her Facebook page.

As previously reported, Jinger and Jeremy have been working closely with Diana’s charity SWAN 4 KIDS, which helps children with parents who have a history of incarceration pay for music lessons and performances, since the fall.

If “Counting On” does return, Jinger and Jeremy’s charitable actions likely won’t be the only storyline fans will see. While Joy-Anna Forysth was visibly pregnant in the series’ October finale, the show didn’t address her pregnancy with husband Austin Forsyth. She and Austin are due to welcome their first little one early next year.

Then, of course, there’s also the speculated Jana Duggar courtship, which the Duggars have not confirmed, that fans have long been waiting for.
