Countrywide confirms 3i Investments bid approach

Property services company Countrywide said on Friday that it had received an approach from investment fund 3i Investments.

Countrywide said the approach from 3i Investments, which is wholly owned by 3i Group (III.L: Quote, Profile, Research), Europe's biggest listed private equity firm, was being considered by an independent committee of the board.
