Courteney Cox is not getting facial fillers again anytime soon.

Cox admitted that she tried to chase the fountain of youth by subjecting herself to a lot of fillers. However, she realized that she would much rather age gracefully. “I’ve had all my fillers dissolved. I’m as natural as I can be. I feel better because I look like myself. I think that I now look more like the person that I was,” Cox said in an interview with New Beauty. “I hope I do. Things are going to change. Everything’s going to drop. I was trying to make it not drop, but that made me look fake. You need movement in your face, especially if you have thin skin like I do. Those aren’t wrinkles — they’re smile lines. I’ve had to learn to embrace movement and realize that fillers are not my friend.”

According to the “Friends” star, being in the spotlight is not easy, and there is a lot of pressure on her, especially as a woman, to maintain her beauty. “I think there’s a pressure to maintain [your looks], not just because of fame, but just, you know, being a woman in this business. Getting older has not been...I don’t think it’s the easiest thing,” she said in an earlier interview with E! News.

Hollywood and the entertainment business made her think that appearance is the most important thing, so she grew up believing this, which only made the pressure worse. “I was trying so hard to keep up, and I actually made things worse,” Cox, 53, admitted.

The actress ended up visiting doctors, who suggested that she get injections and fillers. The process was gradual so no one would notice it, but Cox believed that it looked worse in photos. She admitted that she did things she regrets, but she was still lucky because those things dissolve and go away and she still has a chance to look natural again.

At the moment, the “Scream” star is focusing more on natural ways to keep her body fit and healthy. Cox apparently practices pilates and maintains a healthy diet, making her feel much better and more energized. In fact, she shared that she even wants to have a baby with boyfriend Johnny McDaid at the age of 53.

Cox was previously married to David Arquette, but they divorced in June 2012. The exes share a daughter, Coco. Their split had been a very amicable breakup, with the two agreeing on joint custody. Both Cox and Arquette also had nothing but nice things to say about each other following their split, People reported.
