Dr. Debbie has her work cut out for her.

In the series premiere of Lifetime’s “The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition,” audiences watch as Dr. Debbie Magids, a relationship therapist, guides six mother/daughter pairs as they take their first steps toward rebuilding their rocky relationships.

But after witnessing the explosive chaos go down in the premiere episode, titled “Lock Cut,” it seems that Dr. Debbie may have a harder time trying to help the famous ladies mend their broken bonds than she thought — specifically the relationship of one well-known pair, Courtney and Krista Stodden.

Courtney, best known for marrying the 50-year-old "Lost" actor Doug Hutchinson at the age of 16 in 2011, and her mother prove to have one of the most troubled relationships out of the bunch. According to Courtney, her relationship with her mother (who she reveals she hasn’t seen in a year) first became strained when she felt like her mom was using her controversial stardom to her own advantage.

“My mom definitely has ambition to be famous. She’s crazy for fame. She wants it and she will stop at nothing until she gets it,” Courtney claims in a confessional that plays during their first therapy session. The infamous teen bride goes on to explain to Dr. Debbie that she fired her momager after feeling used, which “fractured [their] relationship.”

But their bond splintered even further when Courtney learned her mother had alleged feelings for her husband.

“She began, behind my back, trying to steal my husband away from me. She took his hand and said, ‘I don’t know what to do but I am in love with you,’ ” Courtney recounts. “What mother would do that to her daughter — fall in love with her own husband?”

But Krista claims her daughter doesn’t have her facts straight. She even insists that Doug has Courtney “brainwashed.”

The banter continues between the two, leaving little to no room for open communication and a potential resolution to their issues. Dr. Debbie then notes after the session concludes that Courtney and Krista’s relationship is going to be a challenging one to restore.

“If this first therapy session is an indication of how things are going to go between me and my mom ... we’re doomed,” Courtney says pessimistically.

“The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition” airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
