U.K. released its CPI for August coming in at 1.6%, higher than the expected 1.4% but the lower than the prior 1.8%, while the monthly reading rose to 0.4% from 0.0% prior and 0.3% forecasted. On the other hand, annual core CPI came similar to the previous at 1.8%, higher than median expectations of 1.6%.

As for monthly RPI, it came in at 0.5%, above estimates of 0.2% and the flat preceding reading, whereas the yearly reading inched up to -1.3% from -1.4% prior and -1.5% projected. The reading excluding mortgage payments also climbed to 1.4% from both prior and forecasted of 1.2%.
