Creflo Dollar, the influential pastor and founder of World Changers Church International, a megachurch near Atlanta, was arrested on Friday for allegedly choking his 15-year old daughter.

Fayette County deputies arrested Dollar, 50, at his home around 2 a.m. and charged him with simple battery and cruelty to children. The arrest warrant claims Dollar intentionally caused physical harm to his teenage daughter by grabbing her around the neck and choking her, according to Fox 5 Atlanta, apparently leaving a scratch on the right side of the girl's throat.

Dollar was taken to Fayette County jail after his arrest, and he posted bond of $5,000 Friday morning, according to Fox 5.

Reports said the two got into an argument about whether she could attend a party. His daughter, who called police, claimed her father scratched her during the fight.

According to the church's website, it boasts 30,000 members in Georgia, in addition to 6,000 active members in Brooklyn, N.Y., as well as other satellite churches around the country.

Dollar, who runs the College Park, Ga., church with his wife, Taffi, are estimated to have a personal fortune of $27 million, according to therichest.org. The church itself is estimated to generate tens of millions of dollars each year.

Dollar appeared to make references to his arrest Friday on his Twitter account, where he has more than 141,000 followers.
