Thursday, the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 0.7% year-over-year in April, slower than the 1.1% increase in the previous month. A year ago, the CPI was up 4.6%.

On a monthly basis, the CPI increased 0.65% in April, after rising 1.43% in March.

For the January to April period, consumer prices grew 0.9% compared to the same period of the previous year.
