Thursday, the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus said the consumer price index or CPI rose 1.1% year-over-year in March, faster than the 0.7% increase in the previous month. A year ago, the CPI was up 4.7%.

On a monthly basis, the CPI increased 1.43% in March, after rising 0.06% in February.

For the January to March period, consumer prices were up 1% compared to the same period of the previous year.
