Monday, the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus said in a report that the harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP increased 0.9% year-over-year in March, compared with a 0.6% rise recorded in the previous month. A year ago, the index was up 4.4%.

In March, the food and non-alcoholic beverages prices rose 9.1% annually, while clothing and footwear prices decreased 2.9%. Transport charges dipped 9.6%.
