Monday, a report from the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus said the trade deficit stood at EUR344.5 million in March, up from a EUR343.6 million deficit in February.

Exports decreased to EUR65.9 million in March from EUR74.4 million in the preceding month. Imports declined to EUR410.4 million from EUR418.1 million in February.

During the January-March period, the trade deficit narrowed to EUR1.06 billion from EUR1.43 billion in the same period last year. Exports declined to EUR207.3 million from EUR271.5 million, while imports decreased to EUR1.27 billion from EUR1.7 billion.
