RTTNews - Friday, the Czech Statistical Office said in a report that producer prices fell 2.5% year-on-year in April compared to a 2% decline in March. Economists expected a drop of 2.3%. The report said the annual fall in producer prices in April was the biggest since the series began in 1991. Month-on-month, producer prices slipped 0.5% in April.

In a separate report, the statistical office said export prices grew 4% year-on-year in March, slower than an 8.3% rise in February. Import prices were up 0.4% compared to a 4.5% increase in the preceding month.

Month-on-month, export prices fell 4.3% in March, following a 3.7% rise in the previous month. Import prices also decreased 4.3%, in contrast to a 3.3% rise in February.
