Tuesday, the Czech Statistical Office said in a report that the consumer price index or CPI rose 1.8% year-over-year in April, slower than the 2.3% increase in the previous month. This was the lowest annual inflation since February 2007.

On a monthly basis, the CPI dropped 0.1% in April, in line with economists' expectations.

The harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 1.3% annually in April, slower than the 1.7% in March. The HICP was down 0.1% compared to the previous month.
