Thursday, the Czech Statistical Office announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 2.3% year-over-year in March, slower than the 2% increase in the previous month. Economists were looking for an increase of 2.1%.

Month-on-month, consumer prices grew 0.2% in March, after rising 0.1% in February.

Meanwhile, the harmonized index of consumer prices rose 1.7% year-on-year in March compared to a 1.3% increase in February. On a monthly basis, the HICP was up 0.2% in March.
