RTTNews - Wednesday, a report by the Czech National Bank showed that the current account surplus stood at CZK9.9 billion in April, up from CZK4.4 billion in the preceding month. Economists expected a deficit of CZK4.5 billion.

In April, the surplus in the services account improved to CZK6.5 billion from CZK 4.8 billion in March. At the same time, the current transfers account recorded a surplus of CZK4.9 billion, reversing from a deficit of CZK25 million in the preceding month. Further, the deficit in the income account decreased to CZK15.8 billion from CZK25.4 billion. However, the surplus in the goods account declined to CZK14.3 billion from CZK25.1 billion in the previous month.
