RTTNews - Friday, a report by the Czech National Bank said the current account surplus stood at CZK5.6 billion in March, down from a CZK17.1 billion surplus in February. Economists expected the surplus to come in at EUR5.75 billion.

In March, the income account showed a deficit of CZK28.7 billion, higher than the deficit of CZK10.4 billion in the preceding month. At the same time, the current transfers posted a lower surplus of CZK772 million compared to a CZK10.7 billion surplus in February.

On the other hand, the surplus in the goods account increased to CZK26 billion in March from CZK9.5 billion in the previous month. The surplus in the services account expanded to CZK7.6 billion from CZK7.3 billion in February.

Meanwhile, the deficit in the financial account decreased to CZK1.36 billion in March from CZK14.3 billion in February. At the same time, the surplus in the capital account declined to CZK1.2 billion from CZK13.5 billion in the preceding month.
