Wednesday, the Czech Statistical Office said in a report that the composite confidence indicator or the economic sentiment indicator, increased to 75.3 in March from 73.8 in the previous month. The statistical office said the indicator increased for the first time since February 2008. A year ago, the indicator was 104.2.
Meanwhile, the consumer confidence indicator rose to 77.9 in March from 74.2 in the previous month. At the same time, the business confidence indicator increased to 74.7 from 73.7 in February.
On an annual basis, the economic sentiment indicator decreased by 33 points in March. The confidence indicator for consumers was down 22.5 points, while the confidence indicator for entrepreneurs declined by 35.6 points.
