Tuesday, a report by the Czech Statistical Office said industrial production dropped 23.4% year-on-year in February, after falling a revised 22.8% in January. Economists expected production to fall 18%.

In February, manufacturing output slipped 26.9% on an annual basis, while mining and quarrying output declined 14.8%. Production of utilities was down 1.7%.

Month-on-month, industrial output fell a seasonally adjusted 0.2% in February.

Meanwhile, construction output dipped 14.3% annually in February, after declining 11.1% in January. On a monthly basis, construction output was down a seasonally adjusted 1.9% in February.
