The Czech Republic's jobless rate increased to 7.7% in March from 7.4% in February, the country's Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said Wednesday. During the month, the jobless rate stood at 7% for men and 8.7% for women.

The Ministry said job offices registered altogether 448,912 job seekers in March, which is 20,064 persons more than in February and 112,615 more than in the preceding year.

Meanwhile, job vacancies totaled 55,412 in March, representing a decline of 9,469 vacancies from February and 95,889 from the previous year.
