Pulling back from yesterday's new multi-week high, the Czech koruna reached a 5-day low of 20.095 against the greenback in early trading on Tuesday. Thereafter, the dollar-koruna pair moved sideways and is currently quoted at 19.88. The pair was worth 19.654 at Monday's North American close.

In economic report, the Czech Statistical Office said that the retail trade at constant prices fell 3.3% year-on-year in January, reversing a 0.1% rise in the previous month. At current prices, the retail trade fell 8.1% in January compared to a 4.9% fall in the preceding month. Month-on-month, the retail trade at constant prices rose 0.8% in January.
