RTTNews - Tuesday, the Czech Statistical Office said in a report that the consumer price index or CPI rose 1.3% year-over-year in May, slower than the 1.8% increase in the previous month. This was the lowest annual inflation since January 2007. Economists were looking for an increase of 1.4%.

On a monthly basis, the CPI remained unchanged in May. Economists' had expected an increase of 0.1%.

The harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 0.9% annually in May, slower than the 1.3% in April. The HICP was up 0.1% compared to the previous month.
