RTTNews - Thursday, the Czech Statistical Office announced that the retail trade at constant prices decreased 1.1% year-on-year in March, after falling a revised 8.5% in the previous month. Initially, retail trade was reported 7.9% decline in February. Economists were looking a decline of 2.5% for March.

Retail trade includes retail sales of automotive fuel, wholesale and retail trade as also repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles.

On a monthly basis, retail trade including automotive fuel rose 0.1% at constant prices in March, following a revised 5.8% decline in February.

Meanwhile, in wholesales, retail trade and repairs of motor vehicles and motorcycles, the seasonally adjusted sales dropped 6.5% year-on-year in March, while it was up 0.5% compared to February.
