RTTNews - Thursday, the Czech Statistical Office announced that the industrial production decreased 22.1% year-over-year in April, compared to a revised 12.2% fall in March. The April figure was revised from 23.2% decline in the preliminary report. Economists were looking for a decline of 23%.

On a working day adjusted basis, industrial production declined 19.2% annually in April, revised from 20.5% fall reported initially.

At the same time, the construction production increased a seasonally adjusted 2.1%, after falling a revised 9% in March.

On a monthly basis, industrial production dropped 1.4% in April, while construction production rose 5.2%.

For the January to April period, industrial production dipped 19.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, industrial new orders declined 26.7% year-on-year in April, compared with a revised 81.6% in the previous month.
