National Clean Energy Summit 2.0

The National Clean Energy Summit 2.0: Jobs and the New Economy in the University of Nevada in Las Vegas kicks off Monday morning bringing together high ranked politicians and leaders of clean energy to talk about future prospects in the industry. Energy Secretary Steven Chu, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, former President Bill Clinton and U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid are scheduled to attend. Former Vice President Al Gore is also expected to make an appearance, according to the Associated Press.

U.S. energy secretary to address national energy challenge

U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu is scheduled to talk about the agency's vision for the nation's energy and security challenges at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, WA at 3:00 p.m. EDT on Monday.

Echelon and Duke Energy enter smart meter supply deal

Echelon is expected to announce that it has entered an agreement with Duke Energy the third largest utility in the U.S. to supply it with smart meters in a long-term deal.
