Earnings week continues

Boston Scientific (BSX), makers or medical equipment, will report second quarter earnings on Monday, and is expected to report a profit of 13 cents per share, an average of estimates from an analysts' poll reveals, according to Thomson Reuters.

Halliburton (HAL), which provides products for the energy industry, on Monday reported that net income fell to 29 cents per share for the second quarter, compared with 55 cents a year ago, as customers reduced spending on exploration and production due to a drop in crude oil prices.

Hasbro (HAS), whose 'Transformers' toy brand feature prominently in one of the highest earning movies of the summer, reported profit grew to 26 cents per share, compared with 25 cents a year earlier. Products based on Transformers and another property, G.I. Joe, are getting better mass market distribution than anticipated, according to analyst Gerrick Johnson, with BMO Capital Markets, Bloomberg reported.
