What will happen in "Dallas" now that the letter is out? TNT

“Dallas” fans had better get ready. After the first two episodes of Season 3B dealt mainly with the aftermath of the end of the first half of the season, the Sept. 1 episode, “Hurt,” will begin to set the stage for the rest of the season. Now that the letter is out, the Ewing family is going to have to find a way to get over the past if they want to hold on to their future.

Episode 10, “Dead Reckoning,” ended with a hot and shocking hookup between John Ross Ewing and Elena Ramos, but fans know Elena only cozied up to John Ross to get the letter from J.R. Ewing proving he had Bobby Ewing frame Cliff Barnes for his murder. Now that Elena knows the truth for sure, it is doubtful there will be any more tenderness between her and John Ross -- and if one promotional photograph from the next episode (shown above) is any indication, there will be some serious tension between the two as well as the rest of the family.

The SpoilerTV synopsis for “Hurt” reveals that in the next episode Elena will confront the Ewings with her discovery, and, considering she will basically be accusing Bobby and Co. of destroying her family’s lives, things will probably not go smoothly. According to the synopsis, Bobby re-examines how he implemented J.R’s plan and might be showing some remorse, but John Ross is sure to be fuming after being played by Elena.

Elena and the Ewing clan had better figure out their differences, though: While they do not realize it yet, they have a common enemy in Nicholas, who, after killing Drew, is ready to put his own plan to steal the Ewings’ fortune into action. Things are about to get tense in Southfork!
