Abby Lee Miller, you may want to look away. Following the release of her memoir “The Maddie Diaries,” former “Dance Moms” star Maddie Ziegler has revealed she’s “never been happier” without the Lifetime reality coach.

“I learned a lot of lessons. I had the craziest time when I was with her and on that team,” Maddie told People magazine of her time spent with Abby filming the show. “I’m really glad that I did move on from that, and I did learn a lot from her and we did have some fun times. But I feel like now, I’ve never been happier in my life.”

Maddie, 14, went on to share that her time on the competition team and the need to constantly win was draining. “I was stressed at 11 years old, which shouldn’t happen,” she added.

While Maddie does keep in touch with some of her former teammates, she said she couldn’t see herself competing on the show again. “I’m done competing. I’m so glad to move on from competing, that’s one thing I’m so happy about moving on from, because it was stressful,” she said.

Despite not wanting to return to her dance competition roots, Maddie has admitted she is not willing to give up fame in favor of a normal childhood.

“There are times when I wish I could be a normal kid. When I’m hanging out with my friends and people come up to me, it can be overwhelming,” she recently told Us Weekly. “But I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
