The ballroom was hot, hot, hot when Ginger Zee and Mark Ballas took the dance floor during Week 5 of “Dancing With the Stars.” The couple, who were paired by fans for the anticipated Switch-Up week of the hit ABC series, performed a seriously sexy salsa to Eddie Palmieri’s hip-swiveling tune “La Malanga.”

But before Mark spun Ginger round (and round and round and round) the ballroom, the theatrical Season 22 professional dancer set the scene for fans as he turned the dance floor into a nightclub. And according to judge Len Goodman, who was extremely critical during Week 5, Mark and Ginger managed to capture the essence of a swanky club.

“Salsa is a club dance and I was there in the club with you,” he said of their performance. “Well done! Fantastic — both of you.”

But Len wasn’t the only one impressed with their sensual salsa. Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who pulled up a seat at the panel as a Week 5 guest judge, added that at first he wasn’t sure if the “Good Morning America” meteorologist could handle the quick-paced dance. But he was pleasantly surprised at how she kept up with high-energy routine.

Carrie Ann Inaba then not so subtly declared Ginger, who earned the top score during Week 4, as one of her favorite competitors on the show. “Well, last week you defined yourself as somebody to watch and obviously no matter who your partner is you’re someone to watch,” she gushed.

Mark and Ginger earned a 32 out of 40 for their Latin-inspired routine.

“Dancing With the Stars” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
