Melissa Gilbert and Roshon Fegan gave their fellow Dancing With the Stars competitors something to sweat about all season, but they both got the boot on Tuesday night's double elimination.

What's worse, Gilbert was axed on her 48th birthday! On the bright side, Gilbert, at 48, probably moves around better than most of her peers.

Gilbert and Fegan's eliminations weren't too much of a shocker, though. They were both doing very well on the show, but they did not enjoy the same level of popularity as NFL player Donald Driver, Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins, Cuban actor William Levy and television host Maria Menounos.

No hard feelings, though.

Gilbert tweeted her thanks to her notoriously tough dancing partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy: @MaksimC the partnership has come to an end. The friendship will live on. I am damn proud of you and I love you.

Fegan also expressed his gratitude: I was blessed to have the opportunity to be on #DWTS thankful for every dance I was able to perform and it was a fun experience no doubt.

Levy and his partner Cheryl Burke, who stood next to Fegan his partner Chelsie Hightower as both couples waited to see who would get eliminated, were visibly sad to see the younger actor go. Levy tweeted his support for Fegan and wrote that it felt as if his little brother was leaving the show.

Now it's up to him, Driver, Jenkins, and Menounos to give it all they've got in the semi-finals, which should be a doozy. All four have been doing consistently well, for the most part, and have pretty enthusiastic fan bases.

Songbird Jenkins tweeted her joy at making it to the semi-finals: A massive thank you to all who voted to put us through to the semi finals... YOU made it happen! Can't believe it!!

Menounos, who had told partner Derek Hough that she'd be thrilled just to make it to the semi-finals, fielded many a congratulatory tweet and tweeted her own thanks: Thank you to all the fans for your dedicated support and allowing me to dance another week! Xxxx.

Driver is clearly in it to win it: Bigger and Better things for next week, he tweeted. But @PetaMurgatroyd and I will need ur support. I want to bring the Mirror Ball to Titletown.
