Ron Artest is the first star to get the boot from Season 13 of ABC's Dancing with the Stars. The NBA player and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd, were sent home on Tuesday night after receiving a disappointing score of 14 out of 30 points for their cha cha performance.

Artest's sparkly vest and satin pants were no match for the other teams, despite judge Carrie Ann Inaba telling the LA Laker that his performance had a fun factor.

For me, it lacked cha cha content. Your footwork was atrocious . . . it was all sizzle, no sausage, judge Len Goodman told Artest on Monday's season premiere.

Artest, who officially changed his name to Metta World Peace on Sept. 16, was just one point behind Elisabetta Canalis and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy, who received a score of 15. But that team was kept safe thanks to an overwhelming number of votes from viewers at home.

J.R. Martinez, Chynna Phillips, Hope Solo and their respective partners all made it to the top three, while Chaz Bono, Nancy Grace and Rob Kardashian received scores under 18 points.

On Wednesday, Murgatroyd, who competed on the show for the first time as a pro dancer, joined Artest on Good Morning America to talk about their elimination.

The pressure was definitely on, since I wasn't in the troupe anymore . . . It's definitely stepping up to the plate more and being amongst the really good pros and dancers, the New Zealand native told GMA.

I gotta thank Peta for teaching me how to dance, Artest added, Peta was even teaching me how to do ballet.

I met good friends . . . I had a great time. Ricki Lake, I'm a Ricki Lake groupie . . . I want to take Nancy Grace to the club, he said.

Dancing with the Stars continues on Sept. 27.
