Danica Patrick, 31, is finally divorced from Paul Hospenthal after citing an “irretrievably broken” marriage on Jan. 3, with a judge signing the consent decree on April 15.

Patrick who announced her intention to divorce Hospenthal, who is 17 years older than her, more than five months ago said on Facebook:

“I am sad to inform my fans that after 7 years, Paul and I have decided to amicably end our marriage. This isn't easy for either of us, but mutually it has come to this. He has been an important person and friend in my life and that's how we will remain moving forward.”

Two months ago, Patrick, who has no children with Hospenthal, made public her relationship with fellow NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr., 25, who once said at an event, “Sorry guys, she’s taken.”

Hospenthal, a physical therapist in Scottsdale, Ariz., met Patrick when treating her for a hip injury she had in 2002.

The two signed a prenuptial agreement that defined property interest.

“My spouse and I did acquire community property during our marriage, and it will be divided as indicated on a Settlement Agreement which will be submitted to the court at a later date,” Patrick said in a court filing.
