Consumer confidence in Denmark increased in April, with the index rising to minus 4.4 from minus 11.7 in March, the Statistics Denmark said Wednesday.
All the sub indicators showed an improvement in April from the previous month. The index measuring consumer's own economic situation in present increased to 1.6 from minus 0.7 in March, and the index measuring consumer's own economic situation in the next one year moved up to 12.3 from 9.2.
Consumer's assessment about Denmark's economic situation for the present and future period also increased. The index measuring Denmark economic situation in the present rose to minus 43.5 from minus 53.3, while the index measuring the economic situation in the next twelve months grew to 10.4 from 1.2.
Consumer's assessment regarding purchase of durable goods also improved, with the index moving up to minus 2.6 from minus 15.
