RTTNews - Friday, the Statistics Denmark said in a report that the jobless rate increased to a seasonally adjusted 3.3% in April from 2.9% in March. Economists expected the rate to be 3.2%. During the month, there were 92,800 unemployed persons, up from 82,200 in the preceding month.

The jobless for men stood at 3.9% in April, up from 3.4% in March, while the rate increased to 2.7% from 2.5% for women. In April, the jobless rate was highest for the population aged between 25 and 29 years, at 4.5%.
