After hitting an 11-day high on Monday, the Denmark currency lost ground versus the US dollar in early trading on Tuesday. The Danish krone reached a 5-day low of 5.6325 against the buck by 7:20 am ET, compared to yesterday's close of 5.5506. The pair is presently worth near 5.61 with 5.683 seen as the next target level.

The Danish krone is pegged to the euro since January 1, 1999. Prior to the introduction of the euro, the Danish Krone was pegged to the German Mark. The reference rate for the euro-krone pair is at 7.4603.
