Not everyone has a Netflix account, and that has to be pretty painful for some Marvel fans. Luckily, even non-subscribers can start watching Marvel’s Netflix hits. “Marvel’s Daredevil” Season 1 will be released on Blu-ray just in time for the holidays.

“Daredevil” Season 1 Blu-ray will hit shelves on Tuesday, Nov. 8. The discs will include all 13 episodes of the drama. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like they’ll include much else. No special features are listed in the press release for the set.

For those without Netflix accounts, “Daredevil” is the perfect starting off point for those jumping into Netflix’s corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The show follows Matt Murdoch (Charlie Cox) as he decides that Hell’s Kitchen needs some saving. The blind lawyer uses his heightened senses to take the law into his own hands. He tries to take on the powerful Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio). The businessman doesn’t appreciate Daredevil’s sudden appearance in Hell’s Kitchen.

Comic book fans will be pleased to know that characters like Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Stick (Scott Glenn) make appearances. However, they’ll have to wait to see Elektra (Elodie Yung) and the Punisher (Jon Bernthal). They aren’t introduced until Season 2.

The “Daredevil” Season 1 Blu-ray release will allow even those without Netflix accounts to watch the drama. Netflix

Those watching on Blu-ray will be a bit behind where Netflix subscribers are. The first season of Daredevil was released on the streaming service in April 2015, and the second season was released earlier this year. Still, this will be the easiest way for non-subscribers to legally view the series.

The series is the first of several Marvel dramas on Netflix. “Luke Cage” and “Jessica Jones” followed the series and “Iron Fist” will be the next hero introduced in March. The four will team up for a mini-series called “The Defenders” next year as well.

Although the shows are connected to the Marvel films like “Captain America” and TV shows like “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” you don’t need to see every superhero project ever to understand “Daredevil.” The Netflix shows mostly just interact with each other. If you saw the first “Avengers” film, you’ll get most of the Marvel references, which are fun but not necessary to understanding the story.
