"The Dark Knight Rises" doesn't come out until next summer, but fans have been treated with yet another tease from the film: Anne Hathaway as Catwoman.

The new photo, released by Warner Bros. on the film's official Web site, shows Hathaway as the legendary Catwoman, riding a vehicle very similar to the one Batman used in Christopher Nolan's second film Batman film, "The Dark Knight."

Hathaway, 28, was officially hired to play Selina Kyle (Catwoman) in January, along with co-star Tom Hardy, who plays the villain Bane.

"I went after it because it was the best role and Chris was willing to meet me . . . it's going to be really good," Hathaway said in recent interview with Total Film magazine.

In 1992, Michelle Pfeiffer slipped into the famous black leather costume for "Batman Returns," opposite Michael Keaton and Danny DeVito. Halle Berry later played the feline heroine in the 2004 film "Catwoman," which flopped at the box office.

"The Dark Knight Rises" tickled fans on Monday, when photos and videos of the famous Batmobile were leaked from the Pittsburgh set. Parts of the city, including Carnegie Mellon University, have been completely transformed into Gotham City.

Christian Bale and Hardy were also spotted shooting fight scenes at the campus, in a swarm of film crew, cameras and fans.

The highly anticipated third and final installment of the Nolan-directed Batman series also stars Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard.

"The Dark Knight Rises" opens in theaters on July 20, 2012.
