Two Dave Matthews Band fans got lucky this past weekend while en route to see the group in Hershey, Pa. Emily Kraus and her boyfriend were on their way to the concert when they spotted the DMB singer himself, Dave Matthews, stranded on the side of the road.

The Grammy-winning musician had apparently gone out for a pre-show bike ride Saturday when his back tire popped. "I did not have a cell phone on the bicycle. So I thought, 'Sh-t," Matthews told the crowd at Hersheypark Stadium.

"And then a nice lady named Emily rode up in a red car with a bicycle rack on it and gave me a ride on to the gig," Matthews added.

Kraus described to CBS21 in Pennsylvania what riding with one of her favorite musicians was like. "We didn't know how to make conversation with him," the star-struck fan laughed. “We were talking about his tour and where he had come from. He had just been in Cincinnati and he said I'm taking a short break after this one because I have to drop my daughters off at camp and he was just a very humble guy,” Kraus said

According to Kraus, the singer returned the favor by taking the couple to dinner, followed by inviting them backstage and later giving them front row seats to the performance.

Matthews also signed the pair of tickets, writing “Thanks for the ride.”
