David Luiz has done it again.

Off a fine set up by veteran playmaker Frank Lampard, the center back delivered a curling left-footed strike that stun FC Basel and gave Chelsea a 3-1 lead in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final on Thursday at Stamford Bridge.

In the 59th minute, Luiz accepted the pass from well outside the penalty box and struck a memorable shot that goalkeeper Yann Sommer had no chance to get his mitts on it.

"You can watch that all day," said former Fulham striker Brian McBride, who was providing television commentary in the U.S.

The Brazilian also scored against Basel in the first leg with the final kick of the match. The second-leg goal gave the Blues a 5-2 advantage on aggregate to secure a place in the final.

This was not the first time this year that Luiz has scored an impressive goal. In a Premier League match against Fulham on April 17, the 26-year-old delivered a tremendous long-distance shot that has been among the most heralded of the 2012-2013 season.

Luiz has seven goals in all competitions this season.
