The body of an Israeli soldier missing since Sunday was found Tuesday not far from his base in central Israel, the Jerusalem Post reported. Cpl. David Menachem Gordon, 21, whose family is from the United States, was a soldier with the Israel Defense Force’s Givanti infantry brigade.
His body was found in a drainage pipe close to the military base at Tzrifin in central Israel. Gordon’s service rifle was next to his body.
The Israeli soldier was reported missing Sunday. Israel on Tuesday called on the public to assist the search for Gordon.
