- While Team Romney is making its case in battleground Ohio and contested Virginia, President Obama will be on safe turf in Washington, D.C., for a 6:30 p.m. dinner with winners of a debate contest. After that, the president will hole himself up to cram for next week's debate, looking to avoid a repeat of last week's lackluster performance.

- Vice President Joe Biden, who turned in a far feistier effort than Obama's performance last week when he squared off against Rep. Paul Ryan last night, will be in Wisconsin for a 1:45 p.m. rally at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

- Biden just barely won the clock game during last night's face-off, speaking for 41 minutes and 32 seconds against Ryan's 40 minutes and 12 seconds. But Ryan got more words in, 7,463 to 7,013. Neither man clearly "won" the debate, but Biden did turn in a forceful, passionate effort.

- Obama continues to hold a strong advantage among Latino voters, outperforming Romney by a 2-to-1 margin in a new Pew Research Center poll.
