She initially left town after dealing with too much drama from her friends and the ways they had betrayed her trust, but now, Ciara is back in Salem on “Days of Our Lives,” and on the Monday, Dec. 4 episode, she will make sure her former best friend Claire knows why she came back to town.

Ciara (Victoria Konefal) left town initially because of the drama she had faced after realizing Theo (Kyler Pettis) was the one who set her up with Wyatt, a boyfriend she was seriously falling for, who as it turned out, Theo had hired in a misguided attempt to make her happy. After dumping him and then realizing how hurt she was by Theo’s actions, she decided that leaving town for a while was the best move for heron the NBC soap. In addition, she had also learned that Claire (Olivia Keegan) had intercepted the letter she wrote to Theo before she met Wyatt, where she told him how she felt about him.

However, now, after a few months away, she has come back to town, and has one goal in mind—revenge.

Ciara will warn Claire that she knows what she did to her, and hasn’t forgotten that she betrayed her because she was afraid Theo would read the letter and then choose to be with Ciara instead of her. It may come out that Ciara feels Claire’s manipulation of the situation eventually pushed Theo to do what he did as well. Because she feels that Claire set all of that in motion, she will blame her for everything that has happened, and want revenge on her for it.

In addition, after learning about Theo’s current condition, she may also find a way to blame Claire for it happening, since she wasn’t there when JJ (Casey Moss) mistakenly shot Theo, and had been terse with him before the shooting took place. Regardless of whether or not she blames Claire for Theo’s current situation, she will be focused on getting revenge on her for the other stuff in the past.

Of course, Ciara won’t be the only one embroiled in drama on the soap. While her mother, Hope (Kristian Alfonso), will be happy to see her again, she will also be in a tough spot. Her engagement to Rafe (Galen Gering) was called off, and she is devastated by it. However, if she learns that following their argument Rafe went to Sami (Alison Sweeney)—and has since slept with her—it could mean even deeper heartbreak down the road.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
