Days of Our Lives
Rafe (Galen Gerig) gets new evidence of Dario's (Jordi VIllasousa) crimes, but it could put Gabi (Camila Banus, not pictured) in danger on the Sept. 1, 2017 episode of "Days of Our Lives." NBC

The plan to finally bring in Dario's secret partner from his counterfeiting scheme is in full effect, and finally, new evidence could emerge which allows the Salem PD to make the arrest they've been hoping to on the Friday, Sept. 1 episode of "Days of Our Lives."

Dario (Jordi Villasousa) has been on the run since Abigail's (Marci Miller) accident when she was hit by a car on the NBC soap. He had promised to turn in his partner in the counterfeiting scheme, but didn't have a chance before he left town. Since then, Abe (James Reynolds) has shockingly been brought in as the alleged partner, though it's since been revealed that he is working with Eli (Lamon Archey), Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galen Gerig) to bring down the real criminal—police commissioner Raines (Aaron Spears).

The race has been on to find the evidence they need to connect Raines to the crime however, because the time that Abe could be held has worn down, and in order to keep him in jail, evidence has to be produced against him. Raines already ordered Myron (Craig Welzbacher), the hacker who worked alongside Dario, to produce some evidence to keep the mayor behind bars and have him go down for the crime, and Myron has been scared ever since that he could be killed if he didn't comply. Hope has promised him protection if he helped bring Raines down, but there's no guarantee that it will help.

However, Rafe will learn that some evidence will be on its way from his MIA brother, which could finally tie everything together and put the right man behind bars. It will be unclear just what the evidence may be, and what it will expose, but it may be powerful enough.

However, if Raines gets wind of Dario turning on him and producing evidence, it could end with more trouble and potential disaster—as he may then target the one person who both Dario and Rafe are deeply for—their sister, Gabi (Camila Banus).

Gabi has been moping around town since she ended her relationship with Chad (Billy Flynn), giving him the chance to reunite with Abigail. Though she is happy that they are in love, she has been heartbroken since learning they were truly planning to remarry this time. As she's been depressed, she hasn't been as attentive to everything else that's going on around her—and that could make her an easy target.

If Raines fears that Dario turned on him and Rafe is closing in, he could decide to teach them both a lesson in order to remind them of who they're dealing with, and Gabi will be the perfect pawn to teach them that lesson with. She could, without realizing it, quickly wind up in a dangerous situation. Then, when Rafe learns about it, it could force him to put his quest for justice to the side, as he instead focuses on rescuing his sister.

"Days of Our Lives" airs weekdays on NBC.
