An attempt at a family portrait on a North Carolina deck resulted in 25 injuries and 14 hospitalizations Saturday evening, WNCN, Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, reported. The family was posing on the deck when it collapsed. Three people are reported in critical condition.

Seven ambulances and two medical helicopters responded to the incident. The house, reportedly a rental property, is in Emerald Isle.

The collapse occurred on the second story of a beach house, WTVR, Richmond, Virginia, reported.

This is not the first time a second story deck has collapsed in July in Emerald Isle while a family was trying to take a vacation photo. In 2013, a deck collapsed onto a concrete patio when 21 members of a family were attempting to take a picture. All 21 were injured, with the injuries including broken bones and spinal injuries. No life-threatening injuries were reported at the time. Thirteen people were taken to the hospital, and 11 were treated and released. Following that collapse, town leaders called on state legislators to address.

Emerald Isle's economy is based on the summer tourist season when the population of the town jumps from little more than 3,000 during most of the year to as high as 50,000, according to U.S. Census figures.

The house where Saturday’s collapse occurred reportedly sold most recently in 1993 for $360,000. It is listed on the website Zillow for $1.1 million. The house was remodeled was in 1987.
