Producer prices in South Korea fell 2.6% in September from a year earlier compared with a previous decline by 3.0%. Producer prices declined for the fifth straight month as low energy, raw materials and primary goods prices led to low costs.

Today's report showed that industrial goods prices declined by 4.9% in September from a year ago, while water, electricity and gas prices climbed 10%. On the other hand, services costs advanced 0.1% and the cost of agricultural, forestry and fisheries products inclined by 6.1%.
