The toll of Wednesday's explosion outside the Delhi High Court in India has reached 12 dead and 75 wounded, authorites said.

The high-intensity bomb targeted gate number 5 of the High Court which is the main entry point for people going to the courtrooms.

The bomb went off barely 300 metres away from the spot where a minor explosion took place on May 25.

The incident raises questions on the ability and preparedness of Indian security and intelligence agencies.
