Demi Lovato is going on a 10-city U.S. tour, a representative of the singer announced Friday.

On Thursday, the 19-year-old singer teased fans via Twitter, hinting at the upcoming tour.

What a beeaauuutiful day. Guess what... I have an announcement to make VERY soon....!!!! she wrote.

Best known for her Disney TV show Sonny with a Chance, Lovato's tour marks a significant improvement in the young singer's life.

Just over a year ago, Lovato was touring with the Jonas Brothers when she suffered an emotional breakdown. She was checked into a rehabilitation center, where she was treated for three months.

In April, Lovato spoke out for the first time on her personal struggles with an eating disorder.

I was performing concerts on an empty stomach ... I was losing my voice from purging. I was self-medicating. I was not taking medication for depression, and I literally was so emotionally whacked out that I took it out on someone that meant a lot to me, Lovato told ABC, referring to her abuse of a backup dancer.

These days, Lovato is healthy and happy, performing on award shows, and walking the red carpet with best friend Selena Gomez.

Lovato has also been getting high praise for her third studio album, Unbroken, which was released Sept. 20.

The U.S. tour kicks off in Detroit on Nov. 16.
