RTTNews - Thursday, a report from Statistics Denmark said the consumer confidence indicator rose to minus 3.2 in July from minus 5.5 in June. The index had declined in May and June, after a surge in April.

The survey found that consumers' view on the current economic situation in Denmark improved in July, with the corresponding indicator rising to minus 43 from minus 44.1. The gauge reflecting consumers' assessment of the future situation of the economy also climbed. The reading rose to 19.2 from 10.9.

However, consumers' viewed the present economic situation unfavorable to make big-ticket purchases. The relevant indicator dropped to minus 7.4 from minus 6.8.

Consumers' assessment of the present and future personal economic situation also improved in July.
