Tuesday, the Statistics Denmark said in a report that consumer prices rose 1.8% year-on-year in March, slower than a 1.9% rise in the previous month. Economists expected consumer prices to rise 1.7%.

Month-on-month, consumer prices rose 0.3% in March, in line with economists' expectations.

Meanwhile, the harmonized index of consumer prices increased 1.6% year-on-year in March compared to a 1.7% rise in the previous month. Economist expected the HICP to climb 1.5%.

On a monthly basis, the HICP was up 0.4% in March, faster than a 0.3% increase expected by economists.
